Mayer Hawthorne Shares His Latest Single “Over”
/Grammy-nominated recording artist Mayer Hawthorne has released his new single, “Over,” a RnB/soul track about a breakup that isn’t quite over yet. Hawthorne also dropped the accompanying music video for the song. Directed by Janell Shirtcliff and filmed in Los Angeles, the visual for “Over” showcases an eclectic cast of characters in a vaudeville-style show. Set at a 1940’s speakeasy, this is a place to let your freak flag fly and live your best life; a safe haven with zero judgement. It’s a visual reminder that no matter what you look like, we are all the same – and there is a “freak” in all of us.
“This is my favorite song I’ve written in a long time and I’m so stoked for you to finally hear it,” shares Hawthorne. “When you’re done listening, start it OVER.”
This marks the third new single from Hawthorne this year following recent tracks “The Game” and “The Great Divide.” All songs are available via his newly launched label, Big Bucks.
