Watch the DOPE New Music Video For "Real Deadly" by Indigenous Rap Duo Snotty Nose Rez Kids

As two friends that grew up close to one another in Kitimat, BC, Canada, Yung Trybez and Young D, naturally connected through their love of music, wrestling and pop culture. Growing up on the ‘Rez’, close to a predominantly white town, the two faced similar challenges, but ultimately found refuge in hip-hop and inspiration in each other’s talents.

Snotty Nose Rez Kids (SNRK) was born in 2016, forged from a life-long friendship between two emcees that used music to create, connect with their culture and language, and as an outlet to express themselves.

"Real Deadly" is a positive affirmation… a boastful statement of confidence, whose lyrics draw on the confidence that Yung Trybez and Young D. carry as Indigenous people and as artists. Discussing, the guys state, "We like to refer to things that are dope as Real Deadly. We wrote the song about feeling strong and confident in who we are as people and artists, and we want the track to instill confidence in our fans, in who they are. Much in the way that our track, 'Boujee Natives', spoke to the richness of indigenous fashion, style, culture, and identity, we want 'Real Deadly' to be a positive affirming song."

Having spent much of 2019 on the road, performing across Canada, Europe and Australia, the SNRK guys wanted to capture that energy for the songs on Born Deadly... continuing, "These tracks are turn up tracks. The energy of our live shows this past year has been infectious and we've loved rocking with crowds."
