Watch AWOLNATION's Sao Paulo Based Music Video for "Passion"

Six-Time Platinum band, AWOLNATION have released a truly noteworthy visual to their genre-crushing hit single, "Passion." The first song off their forthcoming sophomore album, 'Here Come The Runts', "Passion" speaks volumes for just how much the band has grown since their 2011 debut, 'Megalithic Symphony' skyrocketed them to stardom. Tapping into a virgin source of inspiration for the new album, the band is traversing uncharted sonic territory. With "Passion" leading them into the next epoch of the group, there's no stopping just how fast the ever-contagious AWOLNATION movement will grow.

The band struck a goldmine when their song "Sail" hit commercial radio upon release in 2011. Boasting over 5 Million record sales, AWOL officially reached super-stardom beyond their belief, just within the last few years. With the world itself as their fanbase, the pressure has mounted in anticipation of their follow-up release. After 6 years, fans can let out a huge sigh of relief, because it's evident now that it was all worth the wait. "Passion" has already landed the #1 spot as "Most Added" on Alternative Radio nationwide. With that initial hurdle out of the way, the band has detailed some of their plans for the new record cycle including a Full-US and UK/European tour, keeping them on the road from February-May 2018.

When discussing the sound of the new album, the band has expressed their desire to achieve some more organic sounds. frontman, Aaron Bruno stated, "I think people are getting really burnt out on hearing robotic instrumentation and robotic vocals. And while I've never had robotic vocals, I've had a lot of electronic elements." The move toward man-made sounds is apparent in "Passion" as guitars take the spotlight in the chorus with a massive crunch, enveloping the song in heavy distortion, causing even the biggest of bassheads to rock out uncontrollably. Despite showcasing such amp-forward sounds, the song is able to perfectly walk the line between electronic and rock, introducing something fresh to old fans, while opening their arms to let new fans in with a full embrace. The official video is an inspirational showing of human art, culture, and most importantly, "Passion." Shot in Sao Paulo, Brazil, it features Brazilian Pro Skater, Og De Souza with his lust for life and skateboarding as the focal point. This skater is famed for performing the same tricks as his peers...but only with his hands! Souza has struggled with Polio since he was a kid, and simply began using a skateboard as a form of basic transportation. Now an inspiration to the disabled community around the world, Souza proves AWOL's point that with enough "Passion", anything is possible.
