Norway’s young revelation girl in red ponders with candor about identity & anxiety in her latest song, “dead girl in the pool” which also comes with a video that explains all. Spoiler alert; It’s awesome! Furthermore, there’s a new tour on sale for the fall.
On the song girl in red had to say; ‘i started working on this song last summer. i had just had a conversation about perspectives and different narratives that sparked some ideas. then suddenly i had the line "there’s a dead girl in the pool" and this little music video of the morning after a party playing in my head. it’s kind of about feelings of anxiety and questioning your identity, and the video will hopefully show that!’
girl in red released her debut EP titled “chapter 1”, a collection of songs penned in her bedroom, at the backend of 2018, that went on to garner support of a wild hoard of tastemaker praise. As one chapter ends, another starts, and in this case quite literally. The new song will sit beside another recent release, “watch you sleep”, & “i need to be alone”, in an upcoming EP titled “chapter 2” that will be out later this year.
