Perth Electro-Pop Duo Leopard Lake Release a Melancholic Wave in Latest Single "Heart Of Yours"

Perth's electro-pop duo Leopard Lake are entering the new year with their latest single release “Heart Of Yours”, wrapped in warped vocals, rich tones and dancing synths.

The atmospheric duo Leopard Lake's latest offering Heart of Yours tell a classic tale we all live through almost everyday; the eternal fight between the mind and the heart.

Created in the sanctuary of Sam Ford’s Perth studio, stripped back and overflowing with raw emotion conveying the duo’s organic, synthetic sound.

"Heart of Yours was a phone demo for months which Sam pieced together in the studio, the inspiration was to create a constant beat mimicking a heart. We wanted to make something really stripped back giving the elements that remained more relevance," said one half of the duo Storm Wyness.

Split into two parts, the story begins with part one; an internal struggle and fogginess of a drunken mind ending with clarity in part two; letting go and moving forward.

"Heart of Yours is about trying to shed the past. Being reborn, in a new life. We slowed down one of the vocal tracks to sound somewhat otherworldly to give a different voice, like a duet but all in one person’s head," said Wyness.

With the scene set, this story is ready to be released, the duo will be performing a launch show for Heart of Yours on Saturday, March 2nd at Mojo’s Bar in Fremantle.
