New Zealand Singer-Songwriter Thomas Oliver Releases His New Single "Roses"
/Australian born, Kiwi singer-songwriter Thomas Oliver has just released his new single “Roses”. The song is an intimate story of his blossoming connection with an online acquaintance that eventually leads him to become a ‘Catfish’ victim.
“Her name was Daniella and she was so intriguing and full of stories. The more I spoke with her the more I became inspired by her stories. Her story of roses and their significance throughout her remarkable life was a song begging to be written. I couldn't help but write it, and I feel it captures the essence of her story and my intrigue and attraction to her.” says Thomas.
“So Roses was written before I had any idea that I was talking to someone whose identity I would never know. It represents the wonder of being excited by another human on this planet. It also now represents a valuable lesson for me. But thank you, Daniella, or whoever you are, because I think Roses may even be my favourite song I've ever written.”
Thomas wrote and recorded “Roses” during the first few weeks of lockdown and created a lyric video to highlight his story (watch HERE).
