Stream "Things Do That", the New EP by Tenor Saxophonist/Songwriter Declan Sheehy-Moss
/Declan Sheehy-Moss is a Boston based tenor saxophone player and songwriter, originally from Brooklyn. Declan studies Jazz Performance at The New England Conservatory, and has just released a self-produced, 4-track EP entitled “Things Do That”.
The “Things Do That” EP was mixed and mastered by Elijah Judah, and features Arlo Sims (guitar), Dorée Gordon (vocals), Alex Yoo and Kabir Adhiya-Kumar (drums), and Miles Keingstein (trumpet).
The project does not sound like a “student” created it at all. Each instrument utilized across the four songs by Declan’s cast of players is meticulously played with confidence and assertion, and nothing sounds out of place or wasted. On one hand, only having four songs on the “Things Do That” EP seems too short, yet at the same time, perhaps it’s perfect, because it leaves the listener wanting more, and we do. Declan has created a jazz EP that is personable, and accessible for the millennial and Gen Z audience, which isn’t the easiest thing to do.
Whether you like Hip-Hop, Pop or RnB/Soul, we expect that you will enjoy the “Things Do That” EP, so listen to it right now, connect with Declan on his social media, and stay close to DCWS because our exclusive interview with him is coming very soon.
