West London Indie-Soul Singer-Songwriter ALESSANA Releases Her New Single/Video "Dirty Bathwater"

Following on from her first two releases ‘Rockaway’ and ‘Ragdoll Of Portobello Road’, Indie-Soul artist ALESSANA takes her unique sound to new heights on ‘Dirty Bathwater’ which sees the Portobello Road native film and produce an artistically adept music video fuelled by metaphor and her creative lyricism. A fusion of stripped-back R&B and soulful deliveries, ‘Dirty Bathwater’ is an unforgettable single that showcases ALESSANA’s artistry with conviction.
Talking further about the meaning of the track, ALESSANA shares: “Dirty Bathwater is an ode to men of the past I want to scrub off my skin.”
ALESSANA produced the video herself, using her iphone and a series of paint samples, food colourings and more, as well as a waterproof case and a selfie stick. The DIY visual works perfectly with the single and further outlines ALESSANA’s creative flair.
West London indie-soul singer-songwriter, artist and filmmaker ALESSANA started making home-made music videos in lockdown on Portobello Road about ex-boyfriends using a selfie-stick, a bucket of mud and some vegetables. She is set to release a DIY autobiographical 5-part Art EP, 'My he(art)', which is a tapestry of tones, voice notes, colour and music. ALESSANA also directed the shoot for her song ‘Ragdoll of Portobello Road’ which involved 70 people (60 featured in the song, 10 crew). The track was also recently featured on the soundtrack of award-winning director Matt Kay's (Little Miss Sumo - A Netflix Original) documentary 'Run to the Source'.
ALESSANA’s career in streetcasting for film & TV merges seamlessly with her self-taught skills as a filmmaker, producer, director and writer, taking from her environment to create visuals that are truly representative of her life. The multi-talented creative is doing something completely original and it is sure to take her far.
