About Dre'Quel:
Born and raised on the east coast in Virginia, Dre’Quel Anderson moved to Tucson, Arizona at the age of 13 where he finished high school and went on to college at Arizona State University, finishing with a B.S. in Communications. Officially chasing his true dreams in 2017 he has propelled himself on the music scene, establishing himself as an artist in Columbus, OH after releasing two music videos. His first “Can We Smoke”, which uses a timeless Tevin Campbell sample, and his second “Ride For Me”, where he displays vocal ability and deep creativity in a song that’s hard to compare to anyone in the game at this time. The difference in these two tracks gives a true look into just diverse his style can be.
“I went to school for my mother. Music has always been in my blood and passion. I just had to accept it that I could make it without the fear of failing. I want to be an artist, not a rapper”, he quotes.
More of his music can be found on ITunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, YouTube, and Souncloud. Currently Dre’Quel is working on his first project entitled “Mr. Anderson”. This project will include a transparent look into his life through a form of music that everyone can relate to in one way or another. Dre’Quel aims to be able to show his love for all genres of music by including diverse productions and styles throughout the project. His personal influences include Drake, Kanye West, CyHi Da Prynce, Andre 3000, and 6lack. Expect a wide range of hip hop flows full of style and grace that never grow old, as well as a new vibe of sounds and melodies we aren’t used to hearing from “rappers”, even in today’s era of auto tune users.
