Shabaam Sahdeeq Drops New Video For "Bars"
/East-Coast rhyme vet Shabaam Sahdeeq is back! New visuals for “Bars” (track produced by Pete Twist and video directed by by Olise Forel) follows ‘SS’ dropping lyrical heat on the streets of the Bronx in grimy 90’s style!
The track is taken from the newly released Timeless: Of The Collection, the emcee’s first solo album in over three years. Timeless is sixteen tracks (and one remix) deep of futuristic boom-bap.
Producers on the album include J57 (Westside Gunn, Joey Bada$$), Nick Wiz (Rakim, Cella Dwellas), DJ Doom (Blacastan, Nutso), Icerocks (Meyhem Lauren) and Arcitype (Vinnie Paz, Ruste Juxx).
On the rhyme-side lyrical heavy-weight guests include Planet Asia, Milano Constantine (D.I.T.C), Masta Ace, Ras Kass, El Da Sensei (Artifacts) and El Gant among others.
Another notable track is the Grande-sized posse cut “Darkness” that also features Masta Ace, Ras Kass, El Gant and Pawz One (produced by Jake Palumbo and remix by Nick Wiz). Speaking on the formation of that track Sahdeeq said “all of the artists on the track were appearing at Hip Hop Kemp, which is one of the largest hip-hop fests in Europe. We dropped that track shortly before the appearance in part as a promo for that and it also raised funds that were donated towards medical care for Jake Palumbo’s mother".
Starting off a busy new year Shabaam Sahdeeq revealed that Of The Collection is the first in a Timeless album series in four or five parts to be released over the next two years. He is also completing a full-length album Precious Stones that is completed produced by J57 to drop later this year. European fans can also catch Sahdeeq on tour across the pond starting this May.
