NYC Alt-Rock Project Scotch Mist Releases Their New Video "Mariposa"
/Headed by Ed Zighelboim, Scotch Mist is an independent, self-produced psychedelic alt-rock project based in New York City. The band has just released the visual for their song “Mariposa”, directed by Matt Lewis. This solemn clip finds Ed neck deep in sand on the beach, surrounded by people who seemingly ignore his presence.
In his own words about “Mariposa”, Ed says “This music video is a very personal project. My girlfriend died suddenly earlier this year. It was an absolutely paralyzing moment and feeling. This song and video is about grief and the feeling of stuckness. You can have an amazing foundation made up of friends and family, but ultimately you're still responsible for yourself and getting yourself out of whatever hole you find yourself stuck in.”
