Los Angeles Rap Artist Slake Dransky Shares His Clip For "Colors", Featuring AceChristo
/Slake Dransky is a talented rap artist, originally from Washington state, who is now based in Los Angeles. His style of rap is flecked with different shades of his favorite artists and inspirations (he consistently credits artists like Mac Miller, Chance, Saba, Smino, J.I.D and Travis Thompson as powerful influences) but there's no mistaking that the music is deeply personal to him, and the product is a colorful sound with a little something for every ear.
Slake just dropped his insanely DOPE new music video for his track "Colors", featuring AceChristo (Christobal Urquiaga), which is featured on his most recent mixtape entitled “Mid”. The Slake/James Gerde directed “Colors” clip follows a character created by, and played by, Slake. Part stop-motion-silent-film, part movement piece; we follow this character through his exploration of self, loss, and escape (among so many other things). It’s funny and brutal and bleak and human all at once.
Trust us when we tell you that the “Colors” music video is incredible and is the perfect accompaniment to already banging track. He and James Gerde definitely put in the work to make all of the visual elements fall in to place, and we ran it back several times to re-watch it, ensuring that we didn’t miss anything from before.
We guarantee that you will love Slake’s “Colors” visual and we highly recommend that you check out his “Mid” mixtape, as well. Do so below, and be sure to connect with Slake on his website and social media!
