Koreen Perry - Dreams In A Bucket & See You Through

A musician with a country, folk-pop sound with a little bit of a classic rock edge, Koreen Perry is an artist that mixes a meaningful, dreamy message with a positive, pop beat. We are excited to share with you her newest video for “Dreams In A Bucket,” as well as a bonus clip for “See You Through”!

Koreen Perry was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. With the encouragement of a grant from a local radio station, RAWLCO Radio of Up 99.3, Koreen produced her first CD. The self-titled album was a cozy, classic rock, country-style album of originals combined with cover songs from icons such as Olivia Newton-John, ABBA, and Fleetwood Mac. After performing at several festival showcases, including Canadian Music Week and Canadian Country Music Week, Koreen Perry has since adopted a refined “Shania-esque” production in her performances.

Koreen’s new five song, original EP, Evolved, has recently been released to country radio across Canada. The EP is a cocktail of delightful pop-country flavors. Koreen is not only enjoying the radio exposure with her original tracks, but is also experiencing film success as well. Several of her songs were incorporated into the Shaun Donnelly directed film Breaking Spirits, which also casts Koreen in a main supporting role. In the film, Koreen and her band performed “See You Through”, which Donnelly made a music video out of it with clips from the movie. Breaking Spirits will be released this spring, but check out “See You Through” for a little taste of what’s to come.

The main focus of our attention is for the “Dreams In A Bucket” video, which is a celebration of quenching all of life’s adventure, and not letting father time stand in the way. In the video, a woman (played by Koreen) remembers growing up on a small farm in a simpler time. Though it’s a simple life with its Little House on the Prairie vibe, she is constantly reminded by her loving father and “old man Joe from down the road” to pursue her dreams. This sincere message keeps on foot grounded in the lessons of the past and the other stepping into the adventures of the future, and we’re excited to have Koreen Perry as the guide and soundtrack!
