DOPEST Video of the Week: "Like What You See (You Might Not)" by SVE

Our new DOPEST Video of the Week “Like What You See (You Might Not)” comes from Sofia, Bulgaria based singer-songwriter SVE. “Like What You See (You Might Not)” is SVE’s first original release, and the video is directed by Petar Krumov, whose short film “SHAME” is nominated for a Best Short Movie at the European Film Awards this year. The video is shot in the now-ruined residence of the former Bulgarian dictator Todor Zhivkov with a cast of young Bulgarian actors. In SVE’s own words, “We wanted to picture a decadent society in which I hardly fit, to emphasize the contrast I feel in my own understanding and search for value and sense in art, compared to the now-popular kitsch and pointlessness”.

We’re big fans of these visuals which is obviously why we selected it as our DOPEST Video of the Week. Watch “Like What You See (You Might Not)” below and stream it on Spotify and Apple Music as well. Also, be sure to connect with SVE on her social media so you can stay current on what’s next from this talented artist on the rise.
