DOPEST Video of the Day: "TOO COLD!" by Dani Twice

On the new video for his latest release TOO COLD!, Florida based singer-songwriter, producer, and visual artist Dani Twice incorporates a camera retro vibe reminiscent of BROCKHAMPTON's SATURATION series and introduces the haunting whistling mysterious tune. A package arrives to a very retro looking apartment and upon opening the box a frozen Dani appears inside a giant ice cube in front of a concerned young woman. It's evident that the woman wants to go on a date with Dani but can’t seem to get him out of the ice no matter what tactic she tries. A certain amount of humor similar to a 90s sitcom appears throughout the video.
As the roommate arrives and catches a glimpse Dani, the two seem to instantly connect while the young woman seems to be affected by the coldness of Dani's ice cube. The music compliments the different story stages and after one final violent attempt to unfreeze Dani, the young woman leaves to pick up a call from what's assumed to be a bad boy ex. The roommate and Dani share chemistry and in a moment the ice finally melts, The story resolves and climaxes in a big collage of colors and wild EDM style musical drop with wild electronic sounds/ saxophone solo.
Dani is credited with the eye-catching visual effects and music video edit. For being a homemade project, this is a hell of a creative and catchy video, one that we’ve selected as our DOPEST Video of the Day.
