Denver-based sibling duo Kronen have released the music video for their latest single “Love Buzz”. With a year elapsing since the COVID-19 pandemic, the band uses professionally shot footage from their 2019 headlining shows at Boulder’s Fox Theatre and Denver’s Lost Lake to reminisce about the energy of live performances and exemplify the high-energy experiences that radiates from both the band and the audience when they attend Kronen shows.

The band worked with director David Digioia to blend the live material with green screen footage that utilizes creative visuals. The visuals accentuate the unique, eclectic, and psychedelic qualities of the music. As implied by its title, “Love Buzz” is a love song through and through filled with lyrics and sonic qualities that depict desire, lust, and sexuality. It’s pop-rock, electronic-rock style is similar to that of The Kills with Kato Kronen’s sultry vocals and driving electronic drums coupled with Caleb Kronen’s chromatic, dark chord progressions. Once Kato had crafted the lyrics, they’d flesh out drum and rhythm guitar parts with unique melodies and rhythms. They’d build basslines, catchy lead vocals, and lead guitar/synth parts off of the foundation and the process is organic, yet strategized for a duo that has been writing music together since childhood.

We aimed to make this song accessible to the general public while staying true to our unique musical roots,” says Caleb Kronen. He goes on to say, “The other goal of this video is to exhibit what it’s like to come to one of our lively shows and experience Kronen’s intense energy.
