Nicola Gaea is a singer and songwriter looking to make her name in the UK Alternative Soul scene. She was brought up by a single mother and her 3 siblings and was exposed to her mother's favourite Reggae, Soul and Jazz records from an early age. Her self-managed career has been met with an abundance of support, particularly from hosts like Jess Iszatt at BBC Introducing London, Victoria Jane at BBC Radio 1, Macca on NTS radio and she was even featured as Dan Alani’s ‘Get To Know’ on Reprezent Radio with her last single ‘Blue Skies’. She's been firing on all cylinders since 2022, and whilst her visuals have been supported by art community-based platform WE ARE SOUL and independent platform, NEW WAVE Magazine, she was also busy landing gigs at London venues within a stone's throw of the Barbican. The singer continues to build a team of renowned creatives around her, such as Loyle Carner's sound engineer Michael Njugna, Director/Photographer Henry J Kamara, who shot Stormzy’s last album cover and Director/Photographer Nwaka Okparaeke who has shot the likes of Little Simz, Kojey Radical, Leticia Wright and more. Her keen pulse on each aspect of her career surely puts her on the right track to a flourishing career. Nicola Gaea is alchemising the life experiences of a young Londoner with her soulful blend of sounds, don't miss her as she progresses on her own unique journey.
Nicola’s debut EP supported by Help Musicians and the MOBO awards is set to release in early 2024. “Distractions” is a single from the project.
