LA Based RnB Artist Hermosa Shares "Searching", Off Her Debut EP "Chapter 23"

Hermosa Riley, also known as onlyhermosa, is an R&B singer-songwriter, born and raised in Spartanburg, SC, and currently based in Los Angeles. Hermosa’s love for music developed at an early after taking a liking to poetry and instruments. Now she’s on the rise this year, releasing her first ever EP, titled “Chapter 23”.

Some of her inspirations growing up were Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston. She also shared that she has a love for jazz music. Hermosa says that she owes her late mother, for her success. “She was so supportive. I told her I was interested in music and she made it happen. She made sure I got to practice, she made sure I worked on my craft when I was home, she showed me what it meant to be a dedicated.”

When asked what’s important to her as an artist, Hermosa said “Writing is probably my favorite part of creating a song. That’s literally how I got my start in music. It’s such a therapeutic and creative way to express myself and South Carolina is such a small place, there’s not really much to do. I would find myself constantly writing, it was like I was glued to my notebook. I never thought in 1 million years that it would all come together as this today, I’m really grateful and excited to share more of my music with the world. I have the most amazing fans.”
