Reija Lee Releases Her Solo Debut Single "Love Nobody"
/Reija Lee's debut single "Love Nobody" reveals her passion for 80s synth-pop and nostalgia laden melodies taking inspiration from classics like Kate Bush and Tears for Fears.
"Love Nobody" was a collaborative effort alongside Melbourne hit maker Styalz Fuego (Illy, Peking Duk, The Knocks, Seth Sentry):
"Working with Styalz was like sitting down in the studio with an old friend even though you've never met. You're both on the exact same wave length, and your individual ideas gel to form one little slice of magic. That's the only way I can describe the day we wrote Love Nobody."
A welcome departure from her usual sound, "Love Nobody" is a polished blend of nostalgia and freshness, topped off with soft, silky vocals and a melody that will stick in your head for days.
"Love Nobody is kind of a self love anthem. I've written a lot of songs, and a lot of love songs at that, but never one for myself. For everyone who needs a bit of self-love, this one's for you. (And me)." says Reija on the subject matter of the dreamy hit.
This is only the beginning of Reija's new neon soaked chapter with promises of a larger body of work and live dates in the coming months. Welcome to the upside down.
