Pittsburgh Pop/Rock Band Sommelier Release Their New Song "The Bar Bore"
/Sommelier is a PIttsburgh based pop/rock band comprised of members, Brian Ferrell (guitarist), J. Trafford (bassist/vocalist), Zach Cross (guitar), and Ben Wingrove (drummer). Speaking about their sound, the band says that “the sound of Sommelier is a tight brocade of matured moods and sophisticated introspection."
The band has just released their new song “The Bar Bore”, which was recorded separately by individual members during the COVID-19 pandemic, and mixed by Brian Ferrell. This version of “The Bar Bore” features a performance by Sarah Ferrell on the cello.
In addition to this incredible track, Sommelier has just released their second quarantine recording, “Ronnie the Rhododendron”, as part of the Bukit Bail Fund compilation album, which benefits those most affected by unjust pretrial detention in their home city of Pittsburgh. The track will be released on additional streaming platforms in early July.
Thankfully we’ve got more than enough with “The Bar Bore” to hold us down until “Ronnie the Rhododendron” drops next month. Listen to it right now, and connect with Sommelier on their website and social media. Also, be on the lookout for our exclusive interview with Sommelier coming soon!
