Melbourne Singer-Songwriter Acoustic Foxx Releases His Latest Single "The Fire is Alive"
/Offering a unique blend of genres and sensibilities with a knack for capturing emotional intimacy and undertones in his song writing, Melbourne based singer-songwriter Acoustic Foxx makes for a soothing escape from the world.
Having spent the last decade carefully crafting his sound into a unique blend of genres and sensibilities, from discovering playing music in grunge/hard rock bands, to performing as a solo artist in recent years, his new single “The Fire is Alive”, sees Acoustic Foxx return to his grunge-rock roots.
With a debut EP, two albums and a string of releases under his belt already, “The Fire is Alive” is the follow up to “Shine a Light” released in early 2021 and hones in on dark acoustic, indie-folk soundscapes, taking a nod to the iconic ’90s grunge movement.
Speaking about his Joshua Whitehead produced new single, Acoustic Foxx says, “'The Fire is Alive' is my follow up single to 'Shine a Light' released in Feb 2021 and features Luciano Alvaro on Drums, Hugh Heller on Bass and I was able to get back to my roots and add more electric guitar which I recorded at home in my new studio. I wrote this song one night when I tuned my old Maton Acoustic Guitar to Open C6 tuning after I got bored of playing in standard tuning, and fumbled my way around the neck trying to invent chords and make some sort of sense of this cool new tuning.
