Singer, writer, violinist & DJ. Maya Killtron is no jack of all trades but a highly skilled, in demand multi-instrumentalist. She's been highly praised for her funk authenticity & easy throwback sophistication. Her most recent single Whiplash was featured as the soundtrack to Swedish designer/retailer Gina Tricot’s 2017 Fall & Christmas collection resulting in indie charting in Sweden & over 150K Spotify plays in November alone.
2018 marks the launch of 3 large-scale solo & collaborative projects. Her first full length solo album Never Dance Alone, a new EP with NYC DJ Duo LoveTaps following their charting hit Back For More & ConcertBLACK - and her live string quintet concert series featuring all female arrangers & performers.

With this track I wanted to take it back to my roots, my hometown high school summers. Cruisin along Queen St on the 1A to Bramalea City Center, summer crushes at the Professor’s lake beach, tryin to catch the eye of the L-section babes for a slow dance at Rec dances, between pizza roll breaks, & bright summer afternoons crushing banquet burgers with the whole squad at Sunny’s. This song is high school Maya, the stacked vocal harmonies, the 90’s vibe, the Brampton top down beat. As with all of the Never Dance Alone tracks, it’s the music I always wanted to make. Not just a nod or throwback, its a real gateway into my musical past in ever bar. Syrupy, rich & full of R&B high school angst.
