Dita Dakoronia is a Manchester, UK based singer-songwriter, originally from Athens, Greece. She has always had a love for singing but never really pursued it due to her full time job as a chef.

Three years ago Dita decided to audition for OpenMicUk, and after getting through a few rounds she was offered an artist development course by Future Music, sponsoring her studio time to create original music.

Fast forward to September 2020 and Dita has just released her cinematic new song entitled “Light The Way”, which was inspired by the insanely popular League of Legends video game.

Dita’s lyrics in “Light The Way” are relatable to wide range of situations, with the term “battle” meaning anything, literal or metaphorical. Speaking about her new song and her goal for it, Dita says "[it represents] a daily struggle, a battle with cancer, a fight for world peace, a big football game, a nation’s fight to defend its ground, an ode to defending human rights, a fight to end bullying, hunger, child abuse and so much more...I hope I can get heard through my lyrics, and all I can say is I’ve put a piece of my soul into Light the Way, and sang it with all my heart".

We all have something we must overcome to reach our goal, so let “Light The Way” be your soundtrack for inspiration as you face your obstacles head on. After listening to Dita’s incredible tune below, connect with her on IG and be on the lookout for our exclusive interview with her coming soon!
