Listen to "Lights (Ike)", Off Théo GOUDE's Newly Released Album "Fishes in a Tank"
/Théo GOUDE is a bilingual artist that lives between Paris and New York City. He has only been releasing music for a couple years, but has been more productive than your average artist. Having released five projects within less than three years; Théo is now on his sixth full-length work; “Fishes in a Tank” which debuted on December 8th.
“Lights (Ike)” is a song produced by CRCL, an Irish beatmaker with affinities for rock sonorities. “Lights (Ike)” is very close to Théo’s heart; it is the expression of feeling stuck in one’s own body, unable to express anything sincere though the artist shares some of his most sincere inner troubling throughout the song. When lights are dimmed we tend to be more comfortable with ourselves. Whereas “Lights (Ike)” is about finding one’s place in the world, it is also expressed in reaction to the sense of losing it all; “Ike” refers as a nickname to Icarus, the man who got too close to the sun and “I Know Everything”, much in reference to Plato’s teachings of the cave. The track was written in one of these vulnerable moments of defeat and deceit. It is the last single on Théo GOUDE’s new collaborative project “Fishes in a Tank” and was featured on his mini EP “Mr. Knows Everything 101 (The Sequel)”.
As of now Théo GOUDE is an independent artist that has worked with a multitude of artists such as Timsters, AVC, James the Prophet, Olga Kiav and Pab the Kid among others. His soon-to-come project “Fishes in a Tank” is (as previously mentioned) solely based on collaboration, with artists from all over the globe (Hawaii, Spain, France, other areas of the USA, the UK...). These collaborators include; Nemo, Savage the Poet, A.C.F, Sarah Sey, Xavier Jaeger, Yann N, SkinnyMarley, Olga Kiav, Paulo Goude, Masuno, Jasmine Rose, Laetitia Hugues, Clédor, Nalla, Naomi CHVLN, Alexia Jain.
