DOPEST Song of the Day: "party" by Mungbean

Columbus, OH based band Mungbean is back on DCWS with their brand new single and our DOPEST Song of the Day, “party”, and we’re excited to share it with you right now. “party” follows the last single/video by Mungbean we featured, entitled “I Love You Say It Back”, and it has the same impact as before, proving to us that this band consistently creates great music.

Speaking about their latest song, the band says, "The instrumentals of "party" started out as a jam that we would play during practice to get pumped up. The lyrics and narrative are inspired by an old video of our friend who is seriously drunk in the backseat of a car, about to be taken home. She keeps saying that she "just wants to go back to the party" and it's pretty hilarious coming from her, a typically very level headed, even keel person. We started performing this to tease her, but it always brought great energy to our live shows so it eventually became a full fledged song."

There’s a lot going all over that is stressful and frustrating at times, but songs like “party” can lighten the mood, get the blood circulating and put a smile on your face.
