Cologne, Germany Based Pop Artist Ant Utama Releases His Debut Single "Brave"

Ant Utama is a pop singer-songwriter all the way from New Zealand, now basing himself in Cologne, Germany. Ant quit his marketing job back home to travel and pursue his love for music on the other side of the world.
Ant’s debut single titled “Brave” has just been released, with production provided by Julian David. Ant wrote the song after a phone call back home to his parents; his father told him to stop drifting and get a real job and that playing on the streets is no way to make a living. Upset and frustrated, he picked up his guitar and wrote the song as a positive affirmation to stay motivated despite the judgement of friends and family.
When playing the song on the street, people started approaching Ant telling their own personal stories and how much it related to them. People, such as photographers, wedding planners and entrepreneurs who were giving up ‘sensible’ careers to do what brings them joy. Ant realized he wasn’t alone and decided his purpose as an artist would be to inspire others to take the leap and pursue greatness. “Brave” is his first statement.
