Brighton Rapper and Producer Mrisi Drops New Song "Hustle" Featuring Big Heat & Hatter
/"Hustle" is the new single by talented producer, pianist, and rapper Mrisi, an emerging British hip hop artist from Brighton. Displaying a flair for introspective and forward-thinking themes in his lyricism, his varied musical background has helped him to develop a unique sound that exhibits the different areas of his influences from Jazz piano to traditional South African music.
The new track, the first taster from another upcoming project after the success of the Mamela EP with vocal duo Mwetcha, is a calm and low-key composition. A prominent piano performance and subtle female vocal harmonies with hard-hitting lyrics from features Big Heat and Hatter that detail the struggles of working day in and day out to care for the ones they love. On the making of the song and its video, Mrisi says “Every element of ‘Hustle’, from the music to the lyrics to the video, was created over the space of three winters, a time when everyone works their hardest, everyone is hustling, trying to get that money in.”
As the years have gone by Mrisi has earned his rightful place supporting acts (Rizzle Kicks, Rag N Bone Man) and performing all over the UK and South Africa, though 2018 looks to be the year where he will be recognised has a household name in the music scene.
