Baby Cate Drops Her Brand New, Self-Produced Track "Faded, Pt. II"

We are very excited to have Boston based artist and producer Baby Cate back on DCWS. She just dropped off her single “Faded, Pt. II” ahead of her forthcoming mixtape releasing in the fall.
“Faded, Pt. II” is the first track Cate has unveiled since the release of her “Self Love” EP back in April. She previously had a collaboration with her group Last Hope, with the single “Pull Up.”
This first version of “Faded, Pt. II”, “Faded”, which was dropped a couple of years ago, can be found on Cate’s Soundcloud page. Speaking about it, Cate says, “This beat I did always stuck with me, and I knew I could do better and do it justice if I redid it.”
Like all of Cate’s previous tracks, she wrote and produced the song, however, it’s much more lo-fi and ethereal. It’s more reflective and melodic as she says, “I wanted to be more conscious of what’s going on around me this time around, whether in the world today or in my personal life. I think you can hear more confidence in the words I’m saying now.”
