Australian Rapper Gamirez Switches Gears With Hard-Hitting New Single "Guarantee", Featuring Figuero Jones

Having first launched himself onto the national radar in 2017 with his debut single, ‘NaNA’, and continuing his successful run throughout 2018 with ‘U KNXW’, ‘Luv’ and ‘Grinding’, Gamirez is now switching things up and changing lanes with his dark, aggressive new single, ‘Guarantee’.
All about working hard and motivating himself to be better in all that he does, ‘Guarantee’ sees a new side of the Brisbane-via-Perth rapper as an ode to dreaming big and striving to get there. Inspired by a conversation he had with himself on payday when he realised he didn’t have enough cash to fund the lifestyle he was living, Gamirez contemplated the need for a “guaranteed” income and how to get there so he can put his days of living paycheck to paycheck behind him.
“It’s an uplifting song to motivate myself to keep my head up and work towards securing the future I want, dreaming beyond the dead end job I’m currently working,” Gamirez said.
Growing up inspired by the likes of Jay-Z and the level of success he has, Gamirez realised from a young age that he will never stop striving to be better. Born in Uganda to South Sudanese parents, Gamirez said, “I came from a place where life is not promised, I've always strived to achieve more then the average person and this song is a reflection of where I am and where I aspire to be.”
‘Guarantee’ is heavy, dark and not afraid of being in your face, and highlights Gamirez not only as a force to be reckoned with as a rapper, but as a producer too. The song is further amplified by a feature from Gamirez’s long-time friend and collaborator, Figuero Jones, who provides the perfect antidote for Gamirez’s deep and hard-hitting hook and verses as he doubles down on the need to hustle with his raspy vocals floating over Gamirez’s beats.
“Working with Figuero Jones was a blast, we’ve been friends for about 4 years now. With Figuero I don’t need to give him any advice on a song or what direction I want him to go in, we think we alike. When I finished my part I knew he was right for the song, I sent it to him and the next day he had the verse ready for me,” Gamirez said.
‘Guarantee’ marks a new chapter for Gamirez as he gets ready for what will be his biggest year yet. Securing triple J love and over 200,000 Spotify streams combined plus adds to A1 Hip-Hop, Urban Flavour, All Aussie Hip Hop and more over the past two years, Gamirez sounds more confident and self-assured than ever. With ‘Guarantee’, he truly steps into his own as an artist to watch for 2019, and if his lyrics are anything at all to go by, he’s not stopping any time soon.
