New to DCWS is the Belgian Alternative R&B duo YellowStraps who have unveiled their latest cut "Something", with DVTCH NORRIS and blackwave. With previous single “Frissons” exciting fans for the forthcoming project, YellowStraps keep the momentum going with this DOPE new track.

Contrasting delicate keys and guitars with hard-hitting 808’s, this is a bouncy, feel good, melodic track that bridges the gap between different styles. “Something” speaks to being emotionally attached to someone, being aware in the moment and also ready to do something about it, which DVTCH NORRIS is on hand to tell.

Their second single in quick succession, YellowStraps are currently gearing up for the release of the Yellockdown Project. Birthed out of lockdown, they embarked on the challenge of releasing one track per week, every week, featuring a different artist and written in 24 hours – all documented via their YouTube channel. A 13-track project, with guest artists spanning from the UK, US, Iceland, Holland, and Germany, careful curation, personal connections and the current global landscape has birthed an innovative collection of music that is a gift in these uncertain times and remains true to the YellowStraps DNA.

Tastemaker acclaim from the likes of COMPLEX, I-D & MAJESTIC CASUAL, radio support from BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra & Radio 6, plus a loyal fanbase the world over that has seen YellowStraps rack up an impressive 5.8 million streams across platforms all speak to the gravitas they command while yet to reach the peak of their powers.

Vibe out to “Something” right now, stream it on your preferred music service and connect with YellowStraps on their social media.
