Alex McArtor Releases Her Haunting New Track "Biggest Fan"

Seventeen-year-old singer-songwriter Alex McArtor has a powerful voice and pensive soul, which she displayed on "Biggest Fan," the elegant new track she has just released.

“Biggest Fan” is the first song McArtor ever wrote and takes its inspiration from The Carpenters’ “Superstar.” She was 15 at the time.

I wrote [‘Biggest Fan’] back when I was very much at the age of when you’re riding the wave of naivety,” McArtor said. “I wanted to write a song that expressed the idea that sometimes people or things are better left untouched for the sake of not killing the magic, or the fantasy that surrounds them… the mystery of the unknown.”

McArtor’s two exquisite EPs, Spoken Word and Heart Talk Vol 1., pull inspiration from classic rock, indie, and soul and have received praise from Billboard, KCRW, BlackBook, EARMILK, and other outlets. Her demo racked up hundreds of thousands of streams on SoundCloud, and she's amassed more than five million streams across platforms.
