Madrid-based alternative/shoegaze rock solo project The Kiss That Took A Trip, helmed and self-produced by musician M.D. Trello. M.D.'s dark, experimental style and fiercely DIY ethos is informed by Steve Albini, Trent Reznor, Talk Talk, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Mike Oldfield, and a range of other influential artists and thinkers.

The Kiss That Took A Trip have released their six track EP entitled “Garlands”, which follows their last album “Punk Cathedral”. In his own words about the EP, Steve Albini says that:

“Garlands' was born out of the need to record something fresh, brief and sweet. It reflects an era of constant doubt in my life. 'Garlands' tries to soothe that uneasiness.”

The Kiss That Took A Trip is currently quite busy with both the promotion of the “Garlands” EP and the recording of its sixth album, planned for the first semester of 2020.

“Garlands” is a sweet and eclectic release that signals a newfound maturity, and it’s probably the least obscure work The Kiss has ever done. Listen to the EP below, stream it on Bandcamp and connect with The Kiss That Took A Trip on their website and social media.
