With her enchanting voice layered on experimental alternative beats, Alo Ver hypnotizes listeners and compels them to explore what is beyond the expected with her lyrics about humanity, spirituality and love. The self-titled album, “Alover”, is a collection of seven songs shaped by influences like Sylvan Esso and Flying Lotus with a chilling yet colorful soundscape and unique beats to dance along to.
Alo Ver (Cassidy Goff) first fell in love with music in high school after listening to The Avett Brothers which she credits as her inspiration. Shortly after hearing them for the first time, she started learning the banjo and writing folk songs. Cassidy formed a band at The University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill featuring a jazz-rock sound called Web Threats. Now, at the age of twenty, Alo has released her first solo album with more to follow.
