London Producer/DJ Melle Brown Delivers Her New "Intersection" EP
/Following on from lead single “Background Noise” - which has received support from the likes of Toddla T, MistaJam (Jam Hot on BBC Radio 1Xtra), Julie Adenuga & Elton John (Beats 1), BBC Introducing and 6Music - Melle Brown can now reveal her Intersection EP in full.
Out now on Jamz Supernova (BBC Radio 1Xtra) & label partner Helena Antoniades' Future Bounce imprint - Melle's Intersection EP features BBC Radio 1Xtra's Hot For 2019 artist Tiana Major9, rising Manchester rapper LayFullStop and producer Intalekt (who's worked with the likes of Jay Prince.)
22-year-old London-born Melle Brown kickstarted her career in music at the age of 14, as a producer, DJ, and now radio host, and has since DJ'd for the likes of Gorrilaz, Little Simz, Lovebox Festival, AFROPUNK & more. Melle has also been confirmed to play at Parklife Festival in Manchester this June.
Having received tastemaker approval from Complex UK, Hunger Magazine, RWD Magazine, CLASH, Earmilk, GUAP & more - Melle effortlessly blurs the lines between Neo-Soul, Jazz and mid-tempo House throughout her Intersection EP, forging a familiar yet fresh sound that is distinctively her.
Speaking on the EP Melle says "Intersection as an EP is the exploration of the emotions that come with feeling like you're at crossroads in life, and the journey towards the other-side, with tracks like Bloom reinstating self love and Breakthrough adding that extra bit of spice/fight to keep you going."
Jamz Supernova says "Working with Melle has been a dream, I'm a real advocate of pushing female producers & Melle was the first person I wanted to work with. This project has been a year in the making and I couldn't be happier with how it sounds. It's a brilliant EP from start to finish & I can't wait for the world to hear it".
