Carlton Boyd

How did you get your start with music? What made you want to pick up the pen and pad as a singer-songwriter?

My love for music made me do it. Growing up, I never thought someday I'll be a singer/rapper but once I gave it a try, I knew that's what I wanted to do. I quickly realized how easy it was for me to come up with catchy melodies first, then moved on to writing whole songs.

If you had to describe your music in three words, what words would you choose?

I would say my music is: fresh, sexy and cool

Who are some of artists that have influenced you musically?

Chris Brown, Kirko Bangz, and Trey Songz are all I can think of right now.

Tell us about your new single "BeyBey". Who produced it and what do you want people who hear it for the first time to take away from it?

The BEY BEY beat was produced by PLATINUM SELLERS and the song was produced by my labels  production team (Aladine and Sonatic Music). It's a summer time anthem and I hope people will enjoy listening and dancing to it and singing along the catchy hook and hopefully that will make them anticipate more fun party songs to come.

What can we expect from you for the rest of the year musically? Is an EP or album on the horizon?

You can def expect a few more singles summer and fall 2016 and an album in 2017.

Are there any artists or producers with whom you would love to collaborate with?

There are so many but my dream collabo would def be with Chris Brown; regarding producers, DJ Mustard comes to mind.
