$pend Money Kwam Returns to DCWS With His New Single/Video "Hol' Dat"
Bronx based rap artist $pend Money Kwam is back on DCWS with his brand new single “Hol’ Dat”, produced by $on Of $am, and as well as its accompanying music video. “Hol Dat” follows the fire track “Supposed to Be”, which was showcased on DCWS earlier this year.
Speaking about his latest release, $pend Money Kwam says:
“I first want to point out "Hol' Dat" was an ode to Rip Hamilton (Detroit Pistons). He was my favorite basketball player growing up from the Pistons to the Wizards with MJ. He uses a hashtag #holdat so I named the song after him (I also dedicated the last line in the chorus to him). I remember when I made comedy Youtube videos years ago, I reached out and he actually watched them and you said "You funny as sh*t. Keep going". So hopefully he hears this song! Beyond that, it's just trying to bring a summer vibe with something different than the normal trap/drill vibe I'd have. Something you can play in the whip, at a BBQ, a smoke session, etc. I try to mesh fire sounds/beats with actual bars so the song hits from all ends, when I create music.”
