Que 9 - Face Time

At the precipice of becoming an adult, most kids are just entering their formative years that will shape them. Que 9, on the other hand, is a 13 year emcee from Detroit who has not only hit his stride, but is already light years ahead of artists twice his age in terms of stature, accomplishment, and talent. His new single for “FaceTime” is chock full of all of the hallmarks that have put Que 9 on the map; flawless looks and killer hooks.

Hot off of the momentum of the lead single “Splash,” Que 9 dropped his new EP Epidemic (B.M.B. Records), produced by Florida beat makers “The Crew” (Jace and Brisk). The ambitious collection is the product of a marathon recording session, knocking out 7 songs in 3 days. The process is indicative of not just his deep well of talent, but also his exceptional work ethic. B.M.B. Records CEO Brian Maurice Brown beams with pride when it comes to Que 9. He states, “I’m amazed by his rapid growth, humility and the evolution of his content and work ethic”.

He’s not just a studio persona, either, he also hits the road hard to bring his music to fans firsthand. While the rising rap star has blessed countless stages across the country with his electric showmanship and rambunctious delivery, his first big show was 2015 Summer Jam in his hometown. From there he joined the I Wanna See You Dance Tour line up where he held his own among other popular teen rappers Lil George and Silento, I Heart Memphis, We R Toons and D Low on a few city stops. He has been profiled on prominent local TV news programs and featured in national press outlets including Complex, thisis50.com, allhiphop.com, XXL and most recently spotlighted in the Michigan Chronicle and Detroit’s Metro Times.
