Manchester Urban Artist Kris Evans Releases New Single/Music Video "Mine"

Britain’s Got Talent Finalist Continues His Run of Releasing Hot Urban Tracks

Kris Evans is an up and coming Urban music act from Manchester who was formerly in the band The Mend.

‘Mine’ is a personal song that Kris wrote following a painful time in his life that made him cautious about the motives and actions of others. It showcases his distinctive vocals, rap and flow alongside a fresh sound that mixes classic jazz and soul influences with 808 trap drums.

‘Mine’ is the follow up to Kris’ debut solo single ‘N.U.M.B’, the proceeds of which were all donated to the ‘We Stand Together Manchester’ Fund to support families of those killed and injured in the Manchester Arena attack.

‘N.U.M.B’ recently won the 'Best R&B/Hip-Hop Song' category in the Unsigned Only Awards. Kris was the only UK act nominated in the category and, in fact, the only UK winner across all categories. Almost 6,000 tracks were submitted to the competition from over 100 countries so that is quite an achievement!

‘N.U.M.B’ has also been nominated as one of only 10 finalists in the ‘Best Unsigned Song’ category at the 2017 Unsigned Music Awards hosted by Best of British.

Kris is working hard to get his music to a wider audience. His tracks ‘N.U.M.B’, ‘Who’s That Boy IV’ and ‘Nothing Changes’ have all featured on BBC Introducing with the latter named as 'Gas Track of the Week' on DJ Charlie Sloth's 1 Xtra show.

Kris recently headlined his first show as part of Sonder Music Festival in Manchester and he then went on to perform at this year’s Sundown Festival. Details of more live shows can be found at Kris’ official website – see below.

Officially Urban has described Kris as “An artist marching to the beat of his own drum.”
