Los Angeles Singer-Songwriter Walter Releases the Short Film to Her Song "Overdose"
Walter is a Los Angeles based singer-songwriter who through her music represents a scarred and naked portrait; a primal sound calling from the darkness to break her isolation and scatter her demons.
From conception to publishing, Walter is in full command of her music, and she is an artist of uncompromising vision and perspective.
Speaking about her music, Walter says, “I feel like we’ve become too isolated from each other and the world around us. We’ve become numb to our own empathy. It’s been portrayed as a weakness, when in fact it’s been our biggest strength as a species. It makes me sad to see that grace left behind— I’m trying to reflect that in my music, my mourning of it, and a longing for nobility.”
Walter has recently released a short film to accompany her song “Overdose”, which addresses her personal battle with addiction. This highly stylized, black/white clip is the perfect accompaniment to Walter’s song and is a gut wrenching, intimate representation of her emotional state(s) when she wrote it.
