London Based Blues Groove Band Mama Moonshine Release "Mr Shy" Animated Music Video, Directed by Louis Grosperrin
Here's the new music video for "Mr Shy", performed by Mama Moonshine, a London based four piece blues groove band. Arguably their strongest release to date, "Mr. Shy" follows in the same vein as the band's previous singles "Love Fool" and "Sisters", deftly exploring themes of love and lust with retro grooves and typically electrifying performances from front woman Ruth Armitt. They plan to play at multiple festivals this year in the UK and will be releasing their live album later on this year.
The visuals were directed by Louis Grosperrin, 23 year old graphic designer living in Madrid, born in Paris, but raised in Hong Kong. He studied illustration and animation in Central Saint Martins, London, where he graduated with a Graphic Design diploma in 2015. It's clear to see that Louis is trained because the animations in the "Mr Shy" video are incredible. In describing his animations for the video, Louis noted that,
"I love the world of the painter Henri Rousseau and his naive yet fantastical scenes of nature and the mystical creatures and flora that populate it. I wanted my work to convey the feeling of purity and in-temporality of the Gardens of Eden, the main character evolving in a world of mystery and wonder, but solitude, like Eve waiting for the creation of Adam".
