Lebanese Rap Duo R.Y.M Unveil Their New Single/Video "Al Qiyama"
Born in 1996, in Byblos-Lebanon, Yves-Emmanuel, and Marc-Antoine Rouhana are Middle Eastern rappers with a clear and straightforward message to deliver to the world. R.Y.M’s (‘rῑm) original idea was not simply to create another RAP project. It is a calling to observe, question, meditate, heal, and take action.
The Leave a Mark Project (LAMP) is the realization and concretization of R.Y.M’s dream to make an impact in the world via bigger platforms and larger scopes. LAMP constitutes original singles and EPs focusing on Mental Health, Women Empowerment, Freedom of Expression, Human Rights, Breaking Stereotypes, Justice, and Equality. R.Y.M aspires to be the voice of the Youth and showcase a new model of thinking and behaving that would avoid unnecessary violence and bigotry and leave space for discussion and peace-building. This project is the true reflection of R.Y.M’s love for music and the belief in its ability to transcend constraints.
The duo is proud and honored to present their latest single entitled “Al Qiyama” (Arabic for resurrection). This song was recorded and produced at RedBooth Lebanon (@redbooth), under the direction of Scarlette Saad. The animated video was designed and developed by a talented Lebanese professional, Roudy el Hajj.
Speaking about “Al Qiyama”, the duo says “this single symbolizes our musical rebirth as R.Y.M; as well as a refreshing new perspective of evolved and advancing Middle East youth”.
