LA Based Artist Phoebe Silva Releases Her New Music Video "The Best Thing!", Shot on an iPhone 11
Phoebe Silva is an LA based solo indie artist who combines elements of jazz, folk, retro-pop and blues to create a wholly unique and timeless sound. Evoking frequent comparisons to artists such as Amy Winehouse, Linda Rondstat, Hailey Reinhart, Lily Allen, Adele and Gwen Stefani, Phoebe draws songwriting influence from 90’s pop, jazz standards, Motown, RnB, rockabilly blues and classic American folk music.
Phoebe has just released the music video for “The Best Thing!”, her debut single as a solo artist, a Declaration of Independence from any other relationship be it personal or creative. The visual was directed, shot on an iPhone 11 and edited by Tim Aslin.
In her own words about the song, Phoebe says, “The Best Thing!” is a classic “fuck off” breakup song with a retro twist and a powerful message of self love! It follows my journey from heartbreak over a dude who jerked me around to self-actualization as I channel the pain into art... as the hook proclaims, “the best thing I got outta you was this song!”
