Jrock Band [ALEXANDROS] Channel American-Pop in New Single and Music Video "Amarinimo Suteki Na Yoru Dakara"
Japanese rock band [ALEXANDROS] have released their new single and video "Amarinimo Suteki Na Yoru Dakara." The track is a standalone release and serves as the theme song for Japanese television-drama Miss Jikocho. A feel good anthem with strong American-pop influence, "Amarinimo Suteki Na Yoru Dakara” relies on the band’s signature of combining lyrics in both English and Japanese alongside funky guitar tones. The visual accompaniment, directed by Takuto Shimpo was filmed in Brooklyn, NY, with the performance scenes shot on the rooftop of the same studio the band recorded their 2018 album Sleepless in Brooklyn, following along through the process of creating the song.
Formed in 2007, [ALEXANDROS] have taken the Japanese rock scene by storm with the release of seven albums and continuously sold out tours. Last year, the band released their 7th full-length album, “Sleepless in Brooklyn”, via Universal Music Japan and Play Nice Music in the United States, bringing their sound to new heights.
The official video for lead single “Mosquito Bite,” has racked up over two million views since its release, thanks in part to serving as the theme song for live-action film BLEACH, which is now available on Netflix. The band has supported major rock bands such as Muse, Kasabian, and Primal Scream in Japan, as well as made appearances at international festivals like SXSW(US) and The Great Escape(UK). [ALEXANDROS] also hold their own yearly event, VIP Party, with 2018’s sold out concert held August 16th at ZOZO Marine Stadium to 35,000 fans. The band signed with Universal Music Japan in 2015.
