Jack Preston and Producer Jon Bom Joined by Alex Lee For Triumphant Return to Form on "Ain't No Way"
After a four-year hiatus, rapper, multimedia artist Jack Preston and West Coast producer Jon Bom teamed up in 2019 to score the official soundtrack for Raymond Carr's new indie Sci-Fi/Adventure film Joyriders. The film's theme song, aptly titled "Joyride", served as the official reintroduction to the pair's progressive sound established on their 2015 album End of The Future.
The rapper/producer duo's new single "Ain't No Way" builds upon their innovative foundation with the help of frequent collaborator Alex Lee (of LeVice). Released on all digital streaming platforms along with the song's official Arthur Leon Adams III-directed music video, the song serves as the second single from Preston's forthcoming album The River (produced entirely by Bom).
Due out via The Dojo Collective/Soulspazm on January 28th, 2022, The River is Preston’s ode to his North River, North Carolina roots. Inspired by Taoism, the album title is a metaphor for the state of being fully present and immersed in the flow of life and the creative process. It’s a motivational body of work that uses Preston’s resilience through life-changing events as a testament to the ability of an everyman to get out of his own way and let his extraordinary abilities shine.
