Ilja Alexander Drops Dreamy Visuals For "Someday"

After dropping an emotive single ‘Someday,’ Pop artist Ilja Alexander returns with dreamy romantic visuals.

Entering a journey of self-discovery after a five year hiatus from the music industry, Ilja found his groove back with this latest tune.

The captivating red visuals represent intimacy, sensuality and an imagined relationship that never took place. The atmosphere creates a romantic warmth between two lovers whilst the outside scenes show reality, tension and separation.

Through disconnection and dealing with depression, Ilja admits that ‘Someday’ brought the artist back to life and allowed him to get back in touch with his emotions.

One day I decided I had to change my life and began a journey on self-discovery. I started seeing a psychologist and soon discovered that I had zero access to my emotional feelings. Past traumas blocked the development of emotional concepts as a child. I needed to transform and decided to attack my old way of being with many more healing therapies, ranging from energetic healing, readings, and astrology. I also decided to kill vampires in my life, letting go of belongings and needs that caused financial stress, so I could focus fully on a returning to music,”

“The concept of the ‘Someday’ music video is cantered on presenting the viewer with strong emotions and movement, integrated into a storyline where I meet my dream girl, taking the viewer inside my mind with memories that have not yet occurred. We included dancers, acting to be 70s Motown-ish backing singers, and a studio 54/Yves Saint Laurent decor and styling, taking the viewer into my dream world.

Ilja’s main inspiration is to connect with the heart and soul of his audience. With each release, the artist effortlessly weaves themes of a tapestry of love, life, heartache, hope, redemption and enlightenment.

‘Someday’ is the first single off the upcoming mini-album ‘Nature' to be released by the artist and is a truly musical fusion of pop, alternative rock, urban, and dance elements. Ilja co-produced the tracks off the album, which is a collaboration with his good friends and internationally successful producer/songwriters Curtis Richardson (Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Joss Stone) and Adien Lewis (Taemin, SHINee, NCT Dream). The album is his most ambitious effort to date that will surely ignite new interest and more fans to his truly unique blend and sound.
