2020’s seen Hanssøn stuck indoors, and it’s sent her just a little bit mad. However, it’s also given her time to write a whole stack of new music, and she’s stoked to be sharing “Monotony”, the first of many new singles. If there’s ever been a year that’s felt like one long day, it’s 2020, and Monotony is a view into what Hanssøn’s world has looked like this year. There’s a whole lot of world out there, and Hanssøn hasn’t been able to experience it while stuck in her NYC apartment.
“Monotony” is the first track that Hanssøn has released since dropping her 2019 album “Colours Of The Fall”, and in that time a lot has changed. Her Aquarius star sign has been one of the constants in what’s been a tumultuous year, so why not celebrate the beauty that are horoscopes? Her new project, “Phases”, will see a new song released with every full/new moon phase, so buckle in. Things are about to get cosmic.

Hanssøn’s lyrics are as cheeky as they are accurate – she doesn’t rely on cliched lyrics, but all-too-often this year felt like a bad metaphor. Thankfully, “Monotony” will help you feel a little bit less alone, something we’ve all needed this year.
