Coolmowee Shares His New Single/Video "I Don't Really Know"
At a challenging time when we must keep loved ones close "I Don't Really Know" is a song and visual about family by Canadian singer-songwriter and producer Coolmowee. Showcasing the dual nature of his artistry, the song departs from his signature 80's synth retro dance pop vibes and enters a confessional indie rock singer-songwriter space.
"I Don't Really Know" is a coming-of-age song about transitioning from manhood to familyhood. Initially written in near-seclusion in the mountains of Norway as a piano piece, Coolmowee added layers to the song by including trumpets and horns along with drums and bass, as well as including voice samples of his own kids as a means to display the crossroad he sings about.
Coolmowee is the electro-pop project of Canadian singer-songwriter and producer Maurice Edwards. After years of travel and extensive musical experience, Coolmowee has only just begun opening the vault of music he’s been creating and reworking since the 80s. Retrofitting a vintage 80s synth pop vibe to modern, electronic dance music, the artist’s repertoire spans years of eclectic and transformational experience, woven into an immersive neon soundscape.
