Parker Polhill Drops New "Wasted" Music Video
Parker Polhill might be seen by some as a reluctant rising star. Growing up in Atlanta his passion was sports, with music being a hobby he rarely devoted time to. A chance performance at his high school graduation lit the musical fire, and a friend with a studio urging him to pursue his talents pushed him beyond his comfort zone, helping him find his voice. His growth has been wholly organic with fans gravitating first towards covers posted on Soundcloud and now to his original compositions. Today, we’re happy to share with you a tremendous new offering from Parker Polhill, titled “Wasted.”
One listen to the soothing delivery and savvy musicianship and it’s easy to realize Parker is inspired by the best of the best. He cites Drake, Big Sean, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, and Brett Young as heavy influences in his music. By dipping his toe into the world of pop, R&B, and country, he’s honed in on a voice that is familiar, yet still unique enough to ride in his own lane.
“Wasted” captures the pensive mood surrounding Parker and his girl. He laments the regularity of her imbibing and the issues that regularly bubble to the surface. The spirits are never far out of reach, but despite the complications and anxiety they’ve still managed to make it work. Maybe the relationship is toxic, but the chemistry binds them past their expiration date. Visually, each room is soaked in vibrant, solid tints of red, purple, and blue. The dim lighting combined with the posh penthouse environment is soothing and pleasing to the eye, while Parker and his female counterpart each play their troubled roles perfectly.
