Stockholm-Based Swedish/Congolese RnB Artist Madeleine Grace Shares Her New Single Tombé”
Fresh on DCWS is “Tombé”, the third single from Stockholm-based Swedish/Congolese songwriter and performer Madeleine Grace.
In Madeleine’s own words about the new single, “Tombé is a lot more unpredictable and uninhibited compared the previous songs that I have released and more reminiscent of my own personality traits which makes it natural to mix languages”. “It reflects on romance and self-esteem but not from a classic perspective”.
“This is not another love song about a man and a woman. It is more about my own path in life and how to manage your aspirations and let yourself fall for the one you want without being held back by your own, or anyone else’s limitations”.
Madeleine’s vocal efforts have been compared to stellar artists like Sade and Lauryn Hill. Personally she cites contemporary greats such as Seinabo Say and Solange along with icons like Janet Jackson and Destiny's Child as notable sources of inspiration.
After several years as a singer in Oslo-based Two Yearz she premiered as a solo artist in late 2017 with debut single Sail Away. It was followed by Honest in June 2018 which was featured in radio stations internationally and established Madeleine Grace as an emerging new talent. ”Tombé” was produced by Noach Shariff.
