New York RnB Artist Ayanna Moonah Releases Her New Single "Float"
Ayanna Moonah is a New York based artist who uses her unique spin on R&B to discuss love, life, and heartbreak. Her music can be described as “personal” and “real”. She got her start singing in her church’s children choir and eventually she took her talents and began her solo career.
Ayanna has just released her new single entitled “Float”, and in her own words, says that, “I created this song as a way to talk about loving someone despite how they treat you”. Almost all of us can relate to the love story told in “Float”, but only Ayanna is passionately pouring out her heart over a mellow, keys driven instrumental, and that’s more cool with us. Ayanna has a beautiful voice, and the instrumental provides an incredible template for her to shine.
Fans of H.E.R., Jhené Aiko, and Kali Uchis will definitely vibe with “Float”, but don’t get it confused, Ayanna is an artist walking her own path to success, while crafting a sound that is patently all hers.
Thankfully, Ayanna’s debut EP is set to be released by the end of this year, so we’ll have many more DOPE songs like “Float” to enjoy very soon. Until then, listen to “Float”, stream it on Soundcloud, and connect with Ayanna on her social media. Also, hang close to DCWS because we’ve got an exclusive Q&A with Ayanna coming soon.
